ABOUT DYLAN

Through his music, singer-songwriter Dylan Deforge combines his passion for fingerpicking folk-rock and acerbic poetry. Aimed to graduate in the fall of 2024 from Berklee College of Music, he studies guitar performance, writing, and improvisation under the guidance of Colin Sapp, Brooks Robertson, and Randy Roos. 

 

He attended Salem State University during the global COVID-19 pandemic and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English in 2022. His capstone project titled “Muscle Memory” — supervised and supported by Kevin Carey — became a self-published chapbook of poetry that received the SSU 2021 Creativity Awards. He has read his poetry during online open mics, including the Nuyorican Poets’ Cafe and Poetry in the Brew.
